Sea World, Legoland Florida, and Disney World in Pictures

Now entering… LEGOLAND FLORIDA!

(our boys’ favorite place on earth.)

A group of families met us at Legoland!  Meeting families in real life is one of my greatest joys when traveling!

Now entering… Sea World

Now entering Disney World…

Levi would have nothing to do with Goofy, but he was in love with Daisy Duck!

Just for laughs

We stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort, where we could wake up to see giraffes walking around through our balcony window.  But next time we go, we’d like to stay in one of the resorts that have modes of transportation other than a bus.  It would make the entire stay much more fun for boys to be able to ride a boat or train to the park each day!

For others who have never been to Disney World, (in our opinion) the meal plan is not worth the cost, but the Disney’s Photopass was.  (How else would we have gotten such great pictures of our entire family?!?)  Stephen studied the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids before we went.  Even before we arrived, he could talk about the rides as if he had gone on them hundreds of times!  He had virtually memorized the park maps so that all we had to do is ask him where we should go.  So, if you’re headed there as a first time Disney World visitor, I highly recommend that book!  And if you’re a first-time visitor, don’t forget to tell the folks at the hotel desk so that they will give you a special badge to wear!

This post and the above expressions on my face are dedicated to my friends Tina and Karin… who showed such great hospitality and even took some of the above photos!  The thought of meeting you again fills me with such joy!

Have you visited Disney World?  What’s your favorite ride or attraction?  What are you most helpful tips for first-time visitors?

Do you have any other recommendations on places to visit in Florida? Just drop down and leave us a comment!

50-States-Before-They-Graduate

Our family aims to visit all 50 states together before our boys graduate from high school.  To take a look at some of the places we’ve been, visit our Traveling America posts.  If you’d like to offer suggestions for off-the-beaten-path places to visit in the 50 states, we would love your input!  Feel free to leave your comments and suggestions for your favorite state(s), or virtually visit the other states we’ve visited to offer your recommendations on those pages!  We’d love to read about your own family’s adventures… or to simply know about destinations you’ve enjoyed!
