Classical Conversations Cycle 3 Resources

I receive commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Please see our full disclosure policy for more details. Thank you for supporting Half-a-Hundred Acre Wood through your purchases.

Welcome to our on-line resources for Cycle 3 of the Classical Conversations Foundations program. Here you will find our organized list of supplemental crafts, worksheets, videos, and other on-line resources corresponding with the weekly memory work. We offer these lists as a quick reference for those who wish to easily find such resources. This portion of our website was built over several years, and we continue to update and maintain it for the sake of helping families who use Classical Conversations.

For a simple plan on how to use these resources, download our Cycle 3 sample activity plan.

https://www.halfahundredacrewood.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/hhaw-cycle-3-sample-daily-plan.pdf

In past years, our family has used an approach similar to that shown in the above sample activity plan but eventually opted for a more complete learning experience using our reading plan along with activities to encourage science exploration and art/music study in our home. Please note that you do not need to match up your reading selections with what is taught in Classical Conversations. In fact, it’s better to read history chronologically (and science within context) and simply allow the memory pegs to work as they come up in whatever you are reading, whenever you are reading it.

Copyright note: If you wish to share our work with others, we would be honored! Please provide a link to the respective page of whatever you are sharing. Our family invests many hours into creating resource lists and files to share with others. Please do not copy and re-post these lists (or our personal creations) on other webpages. By using this website, you agree not to modify our files/lists and/or upload them to other websites (including Facebook and email). When sharing our printable downloads with others, please refer them to our blog posts instead of linking directly to the file(s). Your integrity is deeply appreciated. For more information, please refer to our Terms of Use. Thank you so much!

Cycle 3 with Faith Focus

For a reading/curriculum plan that overlaps much of the memory work studied during Cycle 3 with an emphasis on America’s foundations of faith along with an integrated study of U.S. history, geography, and fine arts (along with science studies from a Christian worldview), check out our Mission: Lasting Liberty Curriculum Plan.

The Mission Lasting Liberty Lesson Plans use some of the best resources that we recommend and use in our homeschool for geography, history, fine arts, and science. It’s the most robust and integrated one-year study of American history and geography that we offer.

Note: Although Mission: Lasting Liberty is not directly correlated to the memory work, it includes a more complete study of anatomy, chemistry, and U.S. History. The books selected for this reading plan were chosen as long-term resources for students to use when they embark on research and world geography memorization in grades 7+. This study has been designed to be used independently of Classical Conversations®. For families who use Classical Conversations®, the readings assigned in the Mission: Lasting Liberty study overlap much of the memory work studied during Cycle 3 but are not correlated week by week. This provides an opportunity for ongoing review and integration of the memory work throughout the year.

Our Mission: Lasting Liberty curriculum provides a much more complete and integrated study of American history and geography with specific instructions for teaching each week’s assignments. But we also offer other resources that simply lists resources as they correspond to certain history and science topics from CC Cycle 3.

Click on the pictures (or links) below to access our lists of resources for each subject correlated to Foundations Guide 4th AND 5th Edition. Click on the pictures (or links) below to access our lists of resources for each subject. If the images do not display correctly, scroll down to the list of links at the bottom of this post. Due to the ever-changing scope of the World Wide Web, these resource lists are a continual work in progress. If you come across broken links, please let us know so we can fix them for you!
