CC Cycle 1 Planners

I receive commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Please see our full disclosure policy for more details. Thank you for supporting Half-a-Hundred Acre Wood through your purchases.

Due to special requests from Classical Conversations families, within our CC Cycle 1 planners, we included reading correlations, book lists, and a Memory Work Review plan to keep the memory work fresh without review becoming cumbersome and overwhelming. Check it out here.

For a basic planner without the booklist, reading correlations, and memory work review plan, we’ve offered several free options in this post. This is not to confuse you (or me) or to make the planning process look complicated or intimidating. It’s just because, as my own personal planner has morphed over the years, I’ve continued to receive requests for past planners I’ve made. Thus, I keep them all here so you can choose your favorite.

Cycle 1 with the Great Commission in Mind

Forego the planning and use ours! After designing curriculum plans for nearly a decade, we’ve developed a Christian Classical Curriculum that integrates the study of the world and the ongoing fulfillment of the Great Commission, with a focus on loving God, His Word, and fellow mankind. For a reading/curriculum plan that overlaps much of the memory work studied during Cycle 1 – with an integrated study of world missions, world empires & geography, fine arts, and science check out our Mission: World Wonders Curriculum Plan.

Note: Although Mission: World Wonders is not directly correlated to the memory work, it includes a more complete study of biology, earth science, and history. The books selected for this reading plan were chosen as long-term resources for students to use when they embark on research and world geography memorization in grades 7+. This study has been designed to be used independently of Classical Conversations®. For families who use Classical Conversations®, the readings assigned in the Mission: World Wonders study overlaps much of the memory work studied during Cycle 1 but is not correlated week by week. This provides an opportunity for ongoing review and integration of the memory work throughout the year.

Note: The following planners may be used with the Foundations Guide 4th or 5th Edition from Classical Conversations. The memory work topics are not included in these planners because the memory work topics organized by week number are considered copyright-protected material.

By using our materials, you agree that you will not upload these files (or altered versions of these files) to other websites (including Facebook). When sharing the content of Half-a-Hundred Acre Wood with others, please share links to our posts. Thank you so much!
